I am sure this is easier than I am letting it be, but I have a couple of questions about putting a SSD in my 2010 model iMac (2.93 quad, 27 inch). In all the threads I have found, people are adding the SSD to the drive already in their machine. I am thinking about just replacing my hard-drive with an SSD (I assume I can use a 2.5 to 3.5 adaptor). Will I have trouble with the fans by doing this? Will running Windows-7 in boot camp cause any issues with the SSD?
I know these are pretty basic questions, but I am just not clear on them. I replaced the hard drive on my 2008 iMac several times so actually doing it is not an issue, but it seems like Apple has made it harder now.
