ummm, the hell is going on with the update...

I just updated from 4.0 to 4.0.1 and what i was expecting was everything to reboot and everything to reset and then the waiting for the syncing takes around 3 hours for me....

Why didnt it do it this time? basically, i am on 4.0.1 but it took 2 minutes :S not the downloading part..that took 30...

also, the prox sensor thing is fixed!! its working perfectly for me now..but yeah the signals have dropped from 5 to 3 now

Are you freaking serious? Bumping a thread within less than an hour - because the update got finished a whole lot quicker than you thought?!

*facepalm*

Signals haven't changed, just the representation.

And yes, it was quick. Is that okay?

yep that is fast! and also, it already had all my apps in it and my music, contacts...

Update and Restore are two different things.

once the Update is done downloading, it will take up to 10 minutes to install (keeping all of your current data intact) only updating the OS.

Restore will delete all of your data and replace the OS completely, this will take some time to restore and re-install.
