Confused about student discount information.

I've seen people say that students get a $50 discount, and I've heard $100 discount. But when I look at the $1,999 version, I get $100 off. When I look at the $2,499 version, it says it's $2,299, meaning I get $200 off. Am I some how special and getting a better discount than most people, or what?

The student discount is a percentage of the price, so if you buy a more expensive laptop, you get a bigger amount off at the bottom line.

It looks like, for me at least, 5% on macbooks and 10% on pros. I know I just ordered a pro, and it was 10%, not sure if 5% applies to all MBs or if the BTO option prices are cheaper, but from first glance it looks like a smaller percent off with the lower end.
