Ive never owned a Macbook and I'm trying to decide between the air 13 and pro 13. I was just started to sway toward the pro, but when looking at the 2 in the Apple store today I suddenly noticed the screen of the pro is really shiny, with a really strong reflection, which I really didn't like, unlike the air which is just a normal latop/pc screen.

After a Google search I found discussions on "glossy" vs "matte", but the Apple website store doesn't seem to mention this, so I'm confused. Does the macbook pro 13 come with a choice of which screen, or are they all "glossy", whereas the Air is "matte"?

Any help would be much appreciated :)

With the 15 inch MacBook Pro, there is a choice between glossy and matte, but not on the 13 inch version.

Mb have glass over the screen
MBA don't due to weight

Simple ;)

Thanks both for clearing up! Shame as I really like the 13 pro. Wonder if its something I'll just get used to

Also keep in mind that they do make matte overlays for the glossy screen, so you could go that route if the glossy screen drives you crazy.
