We have 3 Macs - my daughter's new white MacBook (running Leopard) and 2 iMacs - 1 Core Duo Intel and 1 G5, both running Tiger. The Intel one is waiting for Digidesign to certify to Snow Leopard before it gets updated, but we're unsure what to do with the G5 that the MacBook replaced. Leopard would be the last OS upgrade for it, and we're thinking about using it for a "family" computer. However, I can't figure out what I need to get to upgrade it to Leopard -- it seems that many of the disks on eBay are for specific machines other than G5 iMacs. On the other hand, I'm not sure whether a "full retail" version is the right one either. I tried searching the archive, but came up empty.

Any guidance would be gratefully appreciated!

firstly, welcome :D

a retail disc will work perfectly for you!

if you can find the EXACT system disc for you (whatever it is) on ebay, then go for that.. the retail disc would be a more "safe" option
