Okay, so bear with me. I've used SleepCycle's app for many years now, but wanted to switch to native. On watchOS 9, I set my sleeping schedule, but didn't see a "begin sleep now" like in SleepCycle, but assumed it'd follow the schedule. However, when I woke up today, there was no sleep tracking information for last night at all.

This is my first time using the native watchOS sleep tracking mode, and I don't understand it. On SleepCycle, it was dead easy — start sleep, then end sleep, and it'd show the tracking information right there. Is this possible in watchOS 9, and I just missed it, or messed up somehow, or is sleep only bound to the schedule I set? That's hard because my sleeping schedule isn't fixed — and the tracking data was missing for last night, even though I did set up a schedule.

I hope I can get clarity on this. Thanks!

Not sure but, you checked the Health app? And there’s no sleep info? That’s where it is for me. No “begin” needed, that’s partly why I also stopped using SleepCycle a while back.

Turn on the Sleep Focus mode. There's also an option to automatically turn on this mode based on your schedule.

He doesn't have to. Since he set up his sleep schedule he only needs to check this
