Confusing Touchbar Outlines

Ever since I received my new MBP, I have been confused about outlines around the mini tab screenshots on the touchbar. It seems as if outlines are supposed to be around the active tab, but it's as if there are multiple outlines and they are all piled up toward the right. Check out the images to see what I'm talking about.

Can anyone help me decipher this, or perhaps this is some sort of bug?

It is indeed a bug. Quitting and re-opening Safari usually fixes it for me.

Yeah it should be around the active tab. Mine does the same thing, just a glitch that needs to be ironed out.

There are so many bugs with the Touch Bar and it happened for me, too.

Sometimes every tab is highlighted as active, sometimes the TouchBar is missing some keys.. This is not a MacBook they should have released. The whole thing feels like it's stuck in beta and had to be rushed out.

An annoying recurring bug for me is the iTunes seeker (which should live update with the progress of the song) freezes. Happens at least once a day.
