I've just started setting up a new-to-me iPad Pro. And having a little confusion on how to correctly configure (opt-out) of cookies/custom ads under update preferences when first entering the MacRumors website, below:

Agreed it should be straight forward, so apologies for this newbie question.
With ref to the photos below, to opt-out of all, should each be showing blue? Or does the blue toggle indicate the default setting that one agrees to accepting all ads and marketing data (which I don't want)!
Moving the slider over to the left 'allow' side, the toggle changes from blue to grey. Is this the correct position for opting out of ads and marketing data?

On my other Apple devices - MBPro and iMac, I've never used Safari, much preferring FireFox that one can easily tweek for added privacy and/or security via the about:config toolbar.
I'd be interested to hear how many of you use FireFox over Safari on the iPad, especially if you find it advantageous.
