Confusion Regarding Texting - family plan

I am currently the only iPhone on a family plan. I have unlimited texting for the iPhone. If I add unlimited family texting on the plan will that also apply to my iPhone in addition to the other 3 phones on the line?

It should. I have 2 iPhones + 1 LG phone on my family plan with unlimited texting for the family. Both iPhones are at the base plan.

Agreed. If it's with AT&T, you can have the basic iPhone plan and then have the Family Unlimited Text and that will cover all phones. My wife has the bb pearl and I have the first gen iPhone. I have the basic iPhone plan and we share the unlimited family text plan.
