Been a user a little over 10 years, but started following a few years before then. This site has been so helpful with friendly, knowledgable forums members and informative articles from the start of my journey with Apple products in the '00s until now. Thanks MacRumors and congrats on a new milestone!

In this unprecedented time, social media sites, such as MacRumors, are more important than ever.

....and the only ‘tech’ discussion (Social site) I belong to. Seriously, I have met some very educated/articulate members on here throughout the years, who I have personally learned from in terms of tech-specs’, but also in the community forum that have some astute members who Are Great to have discussions with, from all across the world. (I.e. , Yaxomoxay, Hunt’n, Zenithal, and a handful of moderators as well.)

It’s a great site on both ends of the spectrum. But it’s the members that make the experience worth visiting/participating on this site.

I don’t mean to bump this thread for anything insignificant, but I forgot to mention one member in my above list that I’d like to see more of (But I‘m aware of his hiatus he linked me to), and thats Sandboxgeneral. Outstanding member that is knowledgeable/level-headed and consistent, and was a great moderator when he was active.

Agree about @SandboxGeneral, (and thank you for mentioning me in this context), and agree also about the other posters whose names you have already cited above, but I would also recommend that you add @LizKat to that venerable list as a poster whose posts are always well worth reading.

As I recall @SandboxGeneral made a decision some weeks ago to spend less time online. It was something about digits and minimals. Ah, there it is:

I'm still here! I'm not going away, yet.

This is a bit humbling to be mentioned in this thread and to be included in the company of these MacRumors greats.

I'm not on so much of a hiatus but more like a work week fasting. The current goal is to minimize my time spent online and check in on the weekends. Though with this COVID thing, the last week has been both really busy at work or really boring and that changes day to day. So I was lurking around here a bit more during the past week.

I'm a member on a few other sites like Reddit, Hifi Guides Forums and on several IRC servers. But those are all almost exclusively read-only mode for me. MacRumors is where I actually interact with assumed humans. Since I've never met any of you, I just assume you're human. Perhaps you're all just Agents and I'm in the Matrix. How do I really know?

^ Meet me on the 13th floor of a building in LA.
Bring the Macguffin.
Huh. That sounds very interesting. I don't know how that one slipped by my attention all these years. Wait, I know how. The URL you gave says it lost to the Matrix, so that's probably how I missed it. I'm going to go see if I can find it on iTunes or something.

And also inarticulate fools like me!

Seriously, I've made so many friends at this site and learned so much from them that it's really broadened my horizons and shown me what a great community can do for all of us.

There’s actually one member, [I won’t mention their name], I know outside of Macrumors personally. It’s always a but more intriguing to ‘talk tech’ with somebody not always virtually on a website, but in person. But yes, lots of great members mentioned on this page.

Oh, I missed this post. Blushing!

I do agree, there are many great people here. I had great sparring sessions on PRSI, and I am having great conversations on the a-political Community. I love reading about different ideas, worries, joys, etc.
Plus... we have the Espresso thread which always has a calming effect on me for some reason.
