This is the (4th) iPhone launch i've witnessed and (2nd) iPhone launch i've witnessed on this website and I must say that I see this website growing EXPONENTIALLY with each launch. I thought last launch was crazy, THIS ONE IS NUTS! I'm stoked to see this website grow, and see great potential in the future. Congrats.

The MacRumors UI is definitely outdated, but it works, so why bother updating it? The forums function, and the news is up to date.

Its a matter of taste. Besides if Macrumors is the largest mac community shoildnt it be up to date according to visual? The skin, if installed and coded right will have nothing to do with the sites funcation and up to date news.

I agree the site could use a bit of a update in the visual department.
Hell even making it mock the apple site would be great.

You might be the only one who is happy to see it grow. I think the past 4 years have been the sites downfall.

The site still needs a major UI/usability overhaul as sites like Neowin put MR to shame. Great work on keeping the backend up with this launch/load though! It's definitely been speedy.

I find MacRumors to be easier to read and follow than Neowin, even with the "dated" look.

*shrug*

I agree. The colors are light, not too aggressive. The servers are already running at 100% all the time so if they made the UI more fancier, it would just add the server load (more to upload, process etc) so we would all suffer because of it.

Why to change something that works?

I truly need to not to learn to not post on here after a long night out at the pub. My sarcasm becomes almost unrecognizable.

You must use the rolleyes smile

Kinda doubt you were being sarcastic.

I don't remember the relevant mindset, but upon reading it I am confident of my sarcasm.

I enjoy the website, I enjoy ( most ) of the community, but the iPhone sections appear ( almost ) completely unmoderated. It feels like the opposite of an old-school AOL Chatroom ... if you know what I mean.

Do you have any idea how many posts there are in iPhone forum? Knox said there was 43 000 posts last Monday or was it Sunday. I would guess +35 000 of them was in iPhone forum because usually here are like 5000 posts per day in whole MR (if I recall correctly). That's hell of a job to read through all those, especially when majority of them are useless and asking the same thing over and over again or just trolling and angering other people.

And the funny thing is, the rabid fandroids aren't even accepted at most android sites but they run wild here.
