After all the last months of lurking and posting I've put my money where my mouth is and bought the Pro. Managed to unpack the ACD before family duties kicked in, just waiting to get those kids in bed and then it's daddy's play time 
OK, I have to get some RAM in it - that'll be sorted in the coming week or so, in the meantime grabbed a second 250GB SATA2 on the way home from work for my data leaving the original disk just for OSX and apps.
To say I'm excited is a gross understatement
