Hi all

Firstly thanks for all the advice on the upgrade sticky. I have a 2009 4.1 Mac Pro and have been reading up on that really useful thread. A cheap USB 3.0 upgrade card has just arrived and a Samsung 850 EVO SSD is on it's way to me.

I am looking at working away for several days month shortly and have picked up a second hand 2015 Macbook Pro to take with me. My Mac Pro will be my main machine for a bit longer yet so ideally I am looking at Chronosync which I have a licence from a bundle brought ages ago and sync the two together.

As the Mac Pro has no wifi and never has and the connections on the Mac pro and Macbook pro are very different is there a recommended best way of connecting the two together for syncing purposes ??

Connect the Mac Pro wired to your router and the MBP wired or wireless (slightly slower) to your router.
Chronosync will take care of the rest of the process...
