Connect a bluetooth headphone with the rMB without USB

I can't connect my bluetooth headphones with my rMB, it just doesn't recognize it. Apple homepage says, it'll have to be connected via USB first. Strangely on my iPhone & iPad this is not needed and I can simply connect it. Anyone found out a solution? Because that'll be seriosly the only reason I can imagine for the need of a USB-C to USB adapter...

Sorry can't help. Are you near an Apple Store that you could pop by and get them to help you pair with one of their connectors (without buying it)?

You might get more assistance on the MacBook Peripherals sub forum
 
Tried the Apple store (only official reseller though) and the genius there didn't know ******... said, they don't have any usb-c adapters yet except the ones they sell... Ha ha ha. Sometimes I wonder how people get their jobs as IT specialists. Usually I am a big fan of the genius', bt not this time :(

Worked for me. Originally the rMB said it couldn't pair, but the headphones were already connected to my phone - once I disconnected from my phone, paired no problem to the rMB. Have never connected via USB.

Kein problem. I understand German. As I thought, it is a misunderstanding, it doesn't say you need to connect with USB. The guide is for machine with built-in bluetooth support or a usb bluetooth adapter connected. Bluetooth adapter is a bluetooth receiver and not referering to your headset.

"Wenn in Ihrem Mac ein Bluetooth-Modul installiert ist oder wenn Sie einen USB-Bluetooth-Adapter verwenden"

I meant the part after that. Thought I tried everything... Bt I'll try again. Thx anyways for the support :)
