Connect a macbook pro & hp laptop to TV

I have a new macbook pro and have been reviewing the forums for instructions on how to connect to a TV. I would like to set up a system where I have 1 TV that I use for a monitor and connect both the macbook pro and an HP laptop and have them share the screen. Is there any way to do this?

Hi kwrigh. First thing is first: what model MBP do you have? 2011? 2012? cMBP? rMBP?

Also, some clarification would be helpful. Do you mean that you want to use both your MBP and your HP connected to the TV and share the TV simultaneously? That's not possible. What is possible is connecting the MBP and the HP to the TV, but you could only use one device at a time.
