Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of buying an Alienware M14x to run Star Trek Online.

I have an Apple LED Cinema Display 27" Flat screen and was wondering if I can connect the two?

The screen has one cable that runs to my macbook that is split into a MiniDisplay Port, Magsafe clip (to power your macbook) and a USB 2.0. As I understand it, the MiniDisplay Port provides the picture and the sound is picked up via the USB.

As the screen is designed to be used with a MacBook, how would I connect it to the Alienware laptop? The Alienware has a HDMI 1.4 Audio and Video Output.

Which adaptor would I use to connect the Alienware to the screen to ensure that the I get a good picture and the sound running through the screen?

A huge thank you for your time. I'd appreciate any guidance and maybe even a link to the kit I need. I'm super dumb at computers so please reply as if you are talking to a dummy.

Cheers!

Steve :)
