iPad Connect camera to iPad

Hi,

I realise i'm clutching at straws here... but I just wanted to know if there is any way of connecting an HDV camera to an iPad/iPhone for the purpose of using it as a monitor for framing etc?

Camera also had component ports.

I know there are more and more 3rd party converters and attachments out there now for iPad and iPhone.

BTW- the camera is a JVC GY101
