Connect External HDD to Round Airport Extreme

Hey guys,
I've fished out an old first (?) gen Airport extreme, the round one, and i'm wondering if its possible to share a hard drive over the network with it.
I plugged one in and went into the airport utility (funnily enough the utility only works on my PC, not my mac) however there is no option for "AirPort Disk", only printers.

The USB port on that model of Extreme is for printer sharing only.
