I have a 2005 iMac G5 with iSight that I would like to connect to my HDTV. I have seen sites that say to get a mini dvi to dvi cable then dvi to HDML to conect to the hdml on the TV. Do I need a separate audio cable for this or does the dvi carry audio too?

The iMac G5 iSight has a mini-VGA output, not DVI. It should have come with a mini-VGA to full-sized VGA adapter. Check to see if your HDTV has a VGA port, sometimes just labeled "PC." Many do. If so, just get a VGA cable. As the other poster said, you need a separate audio cable. Your options are optical audio with a mini-plug at one end or RCA to mini-plug (like a headphone plug). Optical audio is preferable, because it is capable of 5.1 surround.
