I just bought a brand new iMac and i want to know how to connect the imac to flat screen tv so that i can watch Movies? Which cable do i need?

you need a mini dvi to hdmi adapter if your tv has hdmi input.
You linked to the right product, but typed it wrong - he needs a MiniDisplayport to HDMI adapter (not MiniDVI). Just in case he copy/pastes your phrasing :)

2 topic: Yes, with such an adapter and a standard HDMI cable the connection to your TV should be no problem.

right, thanks for pointing out. updated, pulled link from my purchase history for MBP, but my mind was obviously on my old mini.
