connect intel imac to 480i TV using component video or s-video?

Hi, any help would be greatly appreciated,

I want to connect an intel imac to an older Sony TV (not HD) with S-video and component video (YPbPr) ins. I'm aware of the Mini-DVI to composite and s-video adapter for the imac but how can I connect using the component video connection?

Should I bother? I am asking this since the TV is not HD - would it make a difference if I connected using s-video vs. component video?

There is no sense in getting the component. Use the composite. If you were going HD, then I would understand getting component cables.
