What is the easiest/simplest way to connect my iphone to our sony TV (not apple TV) to watch library movies. The TV has usb and hdmi slots.
I have a usb-c to HDMI cable which attaches to the Sony but not to my phone. Do i need to get a new cable that is hdmi to hdmi ?and what else? will i hear the audio from the TV or do i need another cable? Thank you!
 
I’m pretty certain the easiest cheapest way would be to buy a lightning to HDMI cable. You could buy an Apple TV, but it is more expensive. The official lightning to hdmi cable through Apple us $49 but you can find 3rd party ones on Amazon for like $20
