Connect MBP to Projector with Only HDMI?

hello I have a macbook pro retina and just now, my usb flash drive just broke and wont turn on. When we present my powerpoint, we need the projector maybe, is it possible to just connect the macbook pro with only the hdmi cord to the projector?

Yes, it is entirely possible - guaranteed in fact - given the specs of your notebook. However, what does this have to do with your USB flash drive breaking?
