Hey guys,

I bought the new MacBook Pro (15") and want to make use of it with my iMac screen. I got a late 2011 model iMac. I've read in Apple website that it has thunderbolt port (though its pretty old model) and I wonder how can I connect my MacBook Pro to it, so I can work on a larger display. Is it even possible

I have thunderbolt to thunderbolt cable, but its a different port then the thunderbolt 3 / usb-c ports.

You'll want to do something called Target Display Mode on your iMac, which is supported on the 2011 iMac via the Thunderbolt port. Check out the steps here:

I suspect you'll need a Thunderbolt adapter though to go from TB3 to TB1.
