This has probably been asked, but I am a newbie to the forum. Is there a way to connect an iphone to an external monitor and use the touchscreen?

I have a 3g right now, but will be getting a 4s in a couple of weeks. Can it be done? If so, do I need to jailbreak? What app? Thanks!

Don't know about the 3G but the 4s can be connected to an external monitor with a cable that takes the 30 pin to either a VGA of HDMI depending on the connection of your monitor. I have done it with my 4, 4s and 5, they all work great.

Can the touchscreen be used?
