Hello, I have a new macbook, and I use to connect my video camera CANON MV800 with the DV port (the only it has).
How can I connect now my camera to my new macbook ?
Thank you

Short of buying a $1000 miniDV media reader, it appears you cannot. You need a computer with firewire.

Do you have a desktop machine that you can get a firewire PCI card for?

only my macbook

No, I only have my macbook.
Is there a conector or something that will change the usb conector into a firewire one ?
(my english is not so good enough sorry)

There is a cable that will work that is $119 but it says it only works on windows xp. Search for "FireWire to USB adapter" on google.

If you didn't tell us your english was poor I wouldn't have guessed it :). Anyway, USB and FireWire are not easily compatible with each other. The best way (as I see it) is to buy a cheap computer (like a Mac Mini) and use that to import and store your videos, but editing can be done on the MacBook over a wireless connection or ethernet (a little faster).
