So I have bought and tried these both. Neither one is great.

Connect360 has a 'flat' menu structure (everything appears as one giant list) and can only point to one media location/folder, but it can play more media specifically anything in AAC/Apple Protected

Rivet can't play a lot of the media I have, but it is very slick in that I can point it to multiple locations and it preserves folder structure, allowing me to keep everything organized and easily navigatable.

Is there a third option that combines the best of both of these options? Any chance anyone has heard of one or the other developers improving their software to handle where theirs comes up short?

I'm about to cave and just buy another Mac Mini with Plex and do that instead.
