Connected, paired and working but not showing up on my phone

I have the airpods 2 which are connected to my iPhone and sound great. However No matter what I do they do not show up in settings. I can not adjust the touch features . When I click on info the only option I have is to disconnect or forget. I have restarted, repaired and done everything I can think of. Open to suggestions.
