Connected SMB shares in Sidebar

When I connect to a SMB share I get an icon on my desktop which works great.

Is it possible to have the same shortcut in my Finders Sidebar?
Currently I only have the SMB host there, which means it takes a long time to connect to it when clicking on it.

The SMB host is a Windows 7 machine if it matters.
