I have an Ipod Touch and iphone that I would like to connect to a better home stereo than the one I have now. My current stereo is about 13 years old and when I connect the ipod to the unit with a cable the sound quality is not that good and I have to blast the sound on both the stereo and the ipod to be able to hear it. (I also have this problem when connecting it to my 2006 Honda Civic). Both my home and car stereos sound great but just do not seem to work too well with the ipod. My iluv alarm clock works very well with the ipod so maybe the sound is best when the ipods are connected directly into the units.

So… My question for anyone that has purchased a new home stereo lately is what to get or look for. I could use the speakers from my current stereo. I suppose I would really just be looking for a receiver that would be ipod ready. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

I have currently resorted to moving my alarm clock from the bedroom to the living room to have better music quality.
