Hi, we have a requirement to refresh our video editing tech and editors have requested a NAS or SAN that they can store Final Cut Pro data and edit on directly.

The Promise Pegasus 6 looks good

but is it possible to connect 2 (or more) Macs using thunderbolt to as Nas like this? Also is it possible to daisy chain devices like the Pegasus 6 and connect multiple Macs to the daisy chain?

cheers

NAS = Network attached storage.

The Pegasus Promise is not a NAS. It's actually a DAS (Direct Attached Storage). You cannot connect it to more than 1 Mac at the same time. It's just like a normal external drive. A NAS is very different to a DAS.

I'm pretty sure you'll never find a NAS with thunderbolt.
