I am trying to get my girlffriends Macbook with a broken screen connected to her TV, and have a question about some cables.

Her TV has no VGA and I would like better quality than S video, so how about a mini displayport to HDMi (http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=5311&seq=1&format=2) and an HDMI cable.

My only question is: How do I handle getting audio to the TV? I doubt the old mini displayports channel audio, and knowing that HDMI typically carries audio I am not sure how I would get the audio from the computer to the TV on the same "input"?

Thanks.

The 2006 MacBooks don't have MDP, they have Mini-DVI, thus you need a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter (MonoPrice) for video and a 3.5mm (TRS) to RCA cable, if the TV offers you to mix channels (video and audio).

Ah, thank you.
