Hi all,

I currently use my MBP connected to a 27" Cinema Display. I've just purchased a gaming rig, and was wondering what the best way of connecting the display to it would be.

For info, the graphics card I'll be using is as follows: "4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970 - 1 DVI, 1 mHDMI, 3 mDP - 3D Vision Ready"

Do I need an adapter? Also is it possible to get a longer cable as the PC could potentially be a metre and a half away from the display.

Thanks in advance :)

If the display does not have a mini-dv adapter then you'll need to get an adapter.

The description of the graphics card says:

4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970 1 DVI, 1 mHDMI, 3 mDP - 3D Vision Ready

Shouldn't that mean it has 3x mini DisplayPort and if so I won't need an adapter?

You're right, For some reason I misread your post and thought you were trying to connect a non apple display to a Mac. Sorry.

I'd say what you posted about the mDP being a mini display port is correct.
