Hi,

I want to connect my MBP to my TV to be able to watch BBC iplayer downloads and wondered what cables i will need for picture and audio.
The tv is a Toshiba WLT66 32" with a Mini D-Sub 15 pin connector and my MBP has the mini display port on it.
Do i need the Mini DVI to VGA for vision? I need one about a metre long. The one's i've seen on Apple Store uk are all short (about 15cm)
Not sure what audio cable i need though. My TV has HDMI port plus the usual L/R phono type sockets on it and the MBP just has the usual headphone socket.
Any help or links to buy the correct cables will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

why not just get display port to hdmi then use a std hdmi cable? if its a 2010 then you have option of using audio over the adapter, if earlier, some of the adapters come with audio cable to plug in to the audio out.
