connecting a camcorder(4-pin fw400) to unibody MBP

hi,
since they have eliminated the fw400 i wondered what were my choices to connect my camcorder(4-pin fw) to the MBP 17" unibody and i found the followings:

1. 4 Pin Female to firewire 800 male Adapter
2. 4 Pin Female to 6 Pin Male adaptor + sonnet 6-pin female to 9-pin male adapter
3.4 Pin Female to 9 Pin Male Adapter

i believe the 1st two options will indeed work but im not sure about the 3rd one since there is no mention of firewire 800. please correct me if im wrong.
i dont really know about fw800 thats why im asking. is a 9 Pin Bilingual connection firewire 800?

your advise would be appreciated
or if you know other ways, other adaptors please mention

Yes, choose whichever you want, the first option is cheaper and smaller so personally i would go with that but it really really really doesn't matter.

my main question is: is a 9pin firewire and a 9pin billingual firewire the same?
if it is then i might go with the 3rd option.

rough costs of my options
1. £11/$20
2. £15/$25
3. £6/$10

Bilingual means its compatible with FW400 and FW800, so Yes. (Bilingual means 2 languages)

All FW400 to FW800 convertors have to be Bilingual otherwise they wouldn't be FW400 to FW800 convertors.

Personally, I would get the least number of conversions, so we don't have adapter issues to deal with. Just my 2 cents.

I've already told you 4 times in this thread they are the same and will both work, and both work in exactly the same way. English isn't your first language is it?

Monoprice carries a 9pin/4pin bilingual cable that works very well for me.
