Connecting a flatscreen to my MacBook.

Greetings.

I have an old PC with a 19" LG flatscreen, but I'm not using either of them. I think that's a waste of a good flatscreen, so I wondered if I could connect that flatscreen to my MacBook, so I could run of the programs on there, while having my MacBook running too.

Is it possiple?
What do I need to make it possiple?
I got 1 GB ram, do I need more as I have a flatscreen connected?

Will there be two versions of the desktop with "same content"? I mean, will the desktop on my MacBook show on the flatscreen, and how can I switch between screens? Is it just by moving the mouse out of the screen and into the other or how will that work?

you can have it be a mirror of ur macbook screen,so wot you see on ur macbook you would see on the external monitor or you can have it just be an extended part of ur macbook screen,so you can drag things over to the other screen etc,plus you can have its own wallpaper
