In Your Mind
I need to know how I can connect my macbook pro to my TV. Thing is, the tv is an old hdtv, and only has the component inputs. Lists of parts and links would be highly appreciated.

Audio for the device is already taken care of, just need video

You could try going from MiniDisplayPort-->VGA then find a VGA to component adapter, but according to the disclaimer on monoprice for their cable (http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10235&cs_id=1023503&p_id=2170&seq=1&format=2) it would seem quite a few VGA outputs don't actually support converting to component. If that's the case, you may need a solution like http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10114&cs_id=1011402&p_id=5035&seq=1&format=2 where you could go MiniDisplayPort-->HDMI to that converter.
