Hello,

I would like to know if it is somehow possible to connect a Apple 27" Cinema Display to a PC laptop?

I know that there are two different versions of the Apple 27" monitor - one called "Apple LED something" and then the Apple Thunderbolt, but what is the difference?

Maybe it is possible to get a Thunderbolt to HDMI converter of some sort?

Please let me know if any of you knows or have experience with this. Not even Apple themselves can give me a clear answer.

Cheers,
Jesper

The Thunderbolt display will not work with any PC. It requires a thunderbolt port. You can use the Apple Cinema Display, but you will need to have a displayport or mini-displayport. You can not use a displayport to HDMI adapter. Those only work it going from a displayport/mini-displayport on your PC TO an HDMI monitor, you can't go FROM and HDMI port TO a displayport monitor.

If all you have is HDMI, then go get something other than an Apple branded monitor.
