Connecting ATV with M-audio av40

Family has Iphones and 2 sets of M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 mkII, no ATV´s yet. Would like to play spotify via Iphone to ATV -speakers. If possible, then I would buy additional speakers/ATV´s for more rooms in the house and via my Iphone select what room/speakers to play music in.

The question probably shows how little I now about these things, sorry.

With the AV40s you want to plug those into your TV First, then HDMI to your AppleTV. does the trick.

Without appletv, you're stuck either using your iPhone or Mac as the source now or an AirPort Extreme...or if you TV supports apps (ie; Samsung SmartTV).
