Any help appreciated.

I have an airport extreme, which is connected to cable internet. My Macbook connects wirelessly to the airport extreme no problem at all.

I want to connect my Dell desktop to the internet. It does not have wireless capability. I have connected the desktop to the airport extreme (with an ethernet cable) and tried to connect without any luck. Is there anything I need to do on the desktop to enable connection.

The desktop connects directly to the cable internet no problem at all. Just not when I connect through the airport extreme. Do I need to change any of the settings on the desktop (or should the original internet settings work).

Thanks very much.
