I'm looking for a solution to connect my hard drive and Camcorder (canon miniDV) to my 13" MBP 2010. My hard drive has eSata as well as Firewire connection. What kind of cable / adapter I need to connect Harddrives eSata to MBP 2010. I know MBP 2010 doesnot have eSata port but can take firewire connection. I found this adapter on ebay. Will this thing work with MBP 2010 ?

the connector is for firewire. eSata won't connect via a firewire port.

Yes that connector is for Firewire but I want to know if there are firewire to Esata connector available or only usb 2.0 to eSata ?

If your hard drive has eSATA and Firewire, use the fw.

If the drive has fw400 and your mac fw800 then converters can be had for cheap.

You won't have any benefit converting eSATA to USB.
