I have a 24" aluminum iMac with a miniDP, and I'm trying to connect it to a 20" TV that has S-video, composite, and component inputs. Here's the TV, if it means anything: http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/sylvania-6620ldt-20-lcd/4505-6482_7-32157042.html

Which input would be best to hook up to? I assume component or S-video over the composite hookups, but I'm not sure what is possible with the miniDP. What would be the most ideal way of hooking up to this TV?

I'm pretty sure you would need a TV with HDMI (or DVI) or VGA in order to hook it up. This was definitely the case when I was investigating back in December.
