I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I wasn't able to find anything...

My brother has special needs, and we are currently trying to create a home setup for him where he can use apps on the iPad like he does at school. I have not seen this myself, but according to my father, at his school they have the iPad hooked up to a touch screen monitor. He is prone to exaggeration, so before he even starts trying to do this...

Are there actually any touch screen monitors/TVs that can control the iPad (rather than the usual control what's on the screen from the iPad)? We do not really want him touching the actual iPad.

If so, can this be done with an out-of-the-box iPad & digital adapter, or would it need to be jailbroken?

Thank in advance!
