I want to use iTunes to update, delete files can this be done wirelessly? I tried to connect the Bluetooth to the MacBook Air 2012 and it does not even recognize the new iphone 5 to Mac Lion. Advise? I hate to always bring the cable along and sometimes I forget to bring it along with me and it sucks I cannot sync my files then to the iphone.

You can easily sync with iTunes wirelessly, if that's what you're wondering. But it can only be done via Wi-Fi. Settings -> General -> iTunes Wi-Fi Sync

You'll have to connect your iPhone to your MBA via USB and go into your iTunes to enable 'Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi' first though. But from then on, you can sync wirelessly (as long as both are connected to the same Wi-Fi network).
