Hi Ive just bought an ipod touch 2g, Im having trouble getting a picture on the tv,:confused:
I have a composite cable ie. red white yellow, usb and ipod connection., Connected it to tv but no joy, no movie...
I use to use my ipod video 5g all the time but i had to switch on the tv on function in the video settings, but the touch doesnt have it:(
Can anybody give me a heads up, its driving me nuts:eek:

I'm fairly sure that you have to buy the Apple brand one. The old ones don't work.
 
The cable i have bought isnt an apple one but says its 4 the ipod touch 2g:confused:

yeah, a lot say that when you buy them. mine said that when i bought it new off ebay for a few bucks. didn't work. the sound usually works, but not the picture. it's tempting to buy a 'cheaper' brand because Apple's official cable is friggin expensive. but, there's a chip or something in the cable that only Apple can offer, so it's the Apple cable you want.

But connecting up to your tv is most limited. you wont get the Touch's UI or games to display.
