Hello,

My macbook got stolen a while ago and with that all the data on
the macbook. This ofcourse includes the backup of the data from the
ipod touch. When I connect my ipod now it says 'do you want to synchronize
your library with you ipod and delete the old data on your ipod' or something like that.

But the thing is, I don't want to lose all the apps that I've downloaded. What do I do about them. Will they still be there if I synchronize my Ipod?

if you synchronize to an empty iTunes library it will wipe it. You need a program like senutil to move your music from the iPod to the computer. You can find more by mroogle search 'ipto to itunes' or something like that.

But it is not the music I am afraid to wipe, it's the apps.
Is it possible to transfer the apps back and forth with some kind of software?

There is also an option to transfer purchases in addition to the Erase & Sync command. Any iTunes purchased music/videos/apps will be transferred to the new computer as long as its been authorized from the Store menu with your AppleID.

@jedimeister: That was really helpful. However, I have apparently already authorized 5 computers now. Is there any way to deauthorize every computer because I don't have access to these computers now. They were in my old home and so on.
