I'm considering to buy a new monitor/display for both my MBP as well as my company issued Windows laptop with HDMI output

1) Is it possible to connect a laptop with HDMI output to the latest Apple Thunderbolt display?

2) If it's possible, what connectors do I need? :)

3) Can I connect both MBP and Windows laptop to the Thunderbolt display at the same time then switch the display to show either screen?

No to all :(

The Thunderbolt display only works with Thunderbolt... period. Apple sells essentially the same display without Thunderbolt, 27" LED Cinema Display, so that's the one you want to get... and that should work in theory with that adapter you just mentioned. My understanding is the panel and form factor are the same, it just doesn't have the other ports.

Thank you for this info. :)

I hope some manufactures would develop a HDMI to Mini Displayport/Thunderbolt connector which works with Thunderbolt display.

what do you need thunderbolt for? Would the older one work? You can get a 27" refurb for 899. And it would work with your win pc

I may need it when more thunderbolt peripherals (e.g. NAS) become available.:)
