Hey guys sorry if this is a dumb question but im looking at this monitor stated above , there is a more expensive version called the 850 which has usb c connections and usb 3.0 ports on the back. This version does not , this monitor is in my price range but im not sure how I will connect the mouse and keyboard to it if the monitor doesn't have any plug ins except hdmi and display port . I looked on amazon and found this anker hdmi adapter that supports 4k 60hz . And another usb 3.0 hub so I can possibly connect the keyboard and mouse to my 2017 MacBook Pro. So is this all I need for connections ? Do I plug the receiver for the keyboard and mouse into the usb 3.0 hub and it will work on the external display? or should I buy a bluetooth keyboard ? Sorry if this is a dumb question , thanks!

You just plug the mouse and keyboard into the computer using the hub and connect the computer to the monitor the monitor cannot use direct input devices.

You could get a multipurpose USB C hub this will give you charging monitor connection and usb and HDMI for peripherals all through one connection to your computer just come home plug in and go.
