I am trying to connect my HDTV (Toshiba 30HF66) to my Mac Mini so I can use it as a monitor. When I turn on the computer with the connection it shows the white Apple startup screen but when it's just about to load my desktop, it goes blank. I've tried all kinds of settings with the SwitchResX app but haven't found the right one yet. I was hoping maybe someone else has experienced this problem or would know what to do. I tried looking up some specs for the TV online and searched for the problem with no luck on finding a solution. As far as I know, it's a 30 inch (31.4 x 21.65 x 22.2 inches to be exact), 1080i definition format and it's a CRT TV which means it's bigger than a flat panel TV which I'm not sure if that has any significance or not. I wasn't sure if that might mean a difference in refresh rates or whatever it's called.
Hopefully I didn't post this in a wrong place. It seemed the most fitting to me.
Anyway, thanks for your time!
