Hello All,

I recently bought a mini-dvi to video adapter and tried both composite video cable and s-video cable and the same thing occurs. The television screen is in a black and white horizontal loop. I've tried every resolution listed and the picture gets a little clearer on some, but still no dice. The kind of television I have is a Panasonic tube (not LCD or HD). Any suggestions?

Try looking through your TV (settings on the TV) there may be something that lets you change the input type or the input format. That's just a general idea, I had to do it on my DVD player.

There may also be an option to change the TV refresh rate (on the Mac) have you tried changing it?

I looked through all the setup of my TV and there was nothing like that. I also went in to system preferences and there is an option for refresh rate but on mine is says n/a in the drop down menu and will not let you choose anything else.
